The Case Tiny Trapper 10862 (52154 SS) is a compact take on Case's classic two-blade Trapper pattern, pairing a 1.875 inch TruSharp Stainless clip blade with a matching spey blade, set in a Genuine Stag handle and packaged in a Case gift tin.
TruSharp Stainless is Case's proprietary stainless steel blend, a modified 420HC formulation chosen for a balance of easy sharpening and reasonable edge retention, it's the steel Case uses across most of its traditional stainless pocketknife lines rather than a premium powder-metallurgy specification. It won't hold an edge as long as CPM steels used on modern tactical folders, but it's straightforward to touch up on a basic stone or ceramic rod, which fits the traditional, everyday-carry role this pattern is built for.
The Clip and Spey blade combination is a classic two-blade Trapper configuration, the clip blade handles general-purpose cutting with a fine point, while the spey blade's flatter edge and blunter tip were traditionally used for tasks like castrating livestock, and today serve as a secondary utility edge that's less prone to accidental punctures.
Genuine Stag means the handle scales are made from real deer antler rather than a synthetic stag-pattern material, natural stag has a distinctive textured surface and color variation, so no two Tiny Trapper handles look exactly alike.
As a Trapper-pattern knife, this is a traditional slip joint, both blades are held open by spring tension against the tang rather than a locking mechanism, and each blade is opened and closed independently using a nail nick.
- Blades: 1.875" TruSharp Stainless clip and spey blades, a classic two-blade Trapper configuration; TruSharp is easy to sharpen but holds an edge less long than premium powder-metallurgy steels.
- Handle: Genuine Stag (deer antler), naturally unique color and texture on every knife.
- Deployment: Traditional slip joint, no lock, nail-nick opening on both blades.
- Packaging: Gift tin included, suited to gifting or collecting.
